The Halifax-Dartmouth & District Labour Council represents over 24,000 unionized workers in all sectors of the economy in Halifax – Dartmouth & District, the Halifax Regional Municipality.
We are committed to uniting workers across different unions and sectors in creating a culture of working class solidarity and social justice in our communities and beyond. The Council is made up of union locals that work on common projects and campaigns together, including educational programming, strike support, community events, political campaigns that promote our values, and more.
